Davidson Media Group Announces Deal for WCMS in Norfolk, Virginia

This is to announce that a contact has been signed and application is heing filed with the FCC for the transfer of WCMS-AM, Norfolk, Virginia from Barnstable Broadcasting Inc. to Davidson Media Group, LLC.
The seller, Barnstable Broadcasting Incorporated, is a privately-held, Massachusetts-based company. Barnstable also owns and operates 12 FM and 2AM radio stations in Nassau-Suffolk, New York, Norfolk-Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Greenville-Spartanburg, South Carolina.
The buyer, Davidson Media Group, LLC is a private company, founded and managed by Hispanic market industry vetern Peter Davdision. Davidson Media Group LLC, owns 9 AM radion stations in Hartford, Connecticut: Detroit, Michigan, Providence, Rhode Island; Charotte - Rock Hill, North/ South Carolina; and Greensboro-Winstion Salem, Raleigh-Durham and Claremont all in North Carolina.
WCMS-AM operates at 1050 KHZ, with 5.0 KWday and .36 KWnight.
