Davidson Media grabs another market

Peter Davidson is prepared to fork over 2.7M to add Nashville to his ever-expanding radio market portfolio, according to broker John Pierce, who handled the transaction. He'll get WNSG-AM from Religious specialist Mortenson Broadcasting in a cash deal. Davidson started out on or around the beginning of 2004 with a six pack of AMs in the Carolinas which were acquired from entities related to the Vernon Baker, and has since been adding stations all over. His group has surfaced in Michigan, Connecticut, Kansas, Rhode Island, Arkansas, Virginia, Massachusetts and now Tennessee. Mortenson retains a presence in Dallas-Ft. Worth, Louisville KY, Kansas City, Lexington KY and Huntington,  WV.
