  • Post-Katrina, there are some 250,000 Hispanics living and working in Southern Louisiana.
  • New Orleans and Southern Louisiana’s Hispanic population is very diverse:
    • About 50% from Central American countries like Honduras, Guatemala, Nicaragua and Costa Rica
    • About 50% are of Mexican decent
  • New Orleans has the largest Honduran population outside of Honduras.
  • From 2000 to 2006, New Orleans Hispanic Buying Power has grown over 42%.
  • WFNO 830AM is New Orleans #1 Spanish-language radio station playing a Latin Mix/Spanish Contemporary format designed to reach New Orleans and Southern Louisiana’s diverse Hispanic population
  • DMG now owns and operates WPYR/Baton Rouge and is simulcasting programming with WFNO New Orleans
