According to the Selig Center for Economic Growth, African American buying power more than doubled from $318 million in 1990 to $723 in 2004 and it continues to grow. The DMG Urban Inspirational radio network delivers this powerful audience that is currently underserved by media outlets in key areas.

A greater number of adults experience the Christian faith through a Christian media, such as radio, television or books, than attend Christian churches.

According to a new study by The Barna Group, slightly more than six out of ten American adults (63%) attended a church service during the past month, whereas two out of every three adults (67%) used at least one of three forms of religious media - radio, television or books - for a dose of the Christian faith in the past month. This translates to about 132 million adults attend church service compared to a 141 million who use Christian media.

Four out of ten adults (38%) listen to Christian programming such as teaching, preaching and talk shows. The fastest-growing type of Christian broadcasting-Christian music- has surpassed the talk-driven formats (two out of five adults (43%) in the last two years.
